The Entrepreneurial Adventure Program is an experiential learning opportunity for all participants. It’s all about turning ideas into reality by bringing together K-12 students, teachers and business partners to create their own ventures. Entrepreneurial Adventure volunteers are dynamic, committed individuals who support publicly funded education and care about the future of today’s youth. Students, as well as their teachers and business partners become truly entrepreneurial — think creatively, explore possibilities, experiment, communicate, collaborate and realize dreams.
In the regional city sites of Calgary, Fredericton, GTA, Halifax and Ottawa, interested teachers are matched with volunteer business partners. All partners attend a half-day partners’ workshop (in the late fall) to launch their partnership. They are introduced to the program’s resource materials and tools, interact with participants from last year’s program and begin to talk about their own partnership plans. From January through May, the venture activities are implemented in the classroom for completion prior to the end of May. The annual Showcase Celebration Event is an opportunity for your students to showcase their venture in a public venue and interact with the business community. This year's events will be held in program centres across the country during the months of May and June.
If you are not in one of the city sites, you can register to become part of the Self Directed EA Program.
